Relining and Rehabilitation of Pipelines

MACE has successfully carried various trenchless techniques of pipeline re-lining including but, not limited to, the following:

Slip lining
Cured in placed liners
Spiraling wound liners
Swagelining
Segmental lining

Pipeline Leak Sealing

MACE operates a fully equipped Leak Sealing Rig capable of testing and sealing pipeline joints of diameters ranging from 150 mm to 1200 mm.

Leaks in larger man entry sewers are dealt with manually by a highly specialized team using efficient injection grouts.

Pipe Rehabilitation

Having been involved in pipeline construction since its establishment MACE took a pioneering step into pipeline rehabilitation in the early 80âï¿½ï¿½s

This involvement came as a result of the Client's need to rehabilitate certain lengths of the trunk sewers that were first laid in Abu Dhabi and were showing signs of deterioration and suffering major collapse.

In the last 7 years, MACE successfully completed the rehabilitation of some 45 km of sewers irrigation lines ranging in size from 400 mm to 1600 mm diameter as well as other smaller diameter sewers 15O - 350 mm diameter. This quantity represents the vast majority of all pipeline rehabilitation work that the Abu Dhabi Municipality undertook in the last 10 years.

Depending on the type, condition, diameter and other factors of the pipeline requiring rehabilitation. MACE will propose suitable rehabilitation techniques.

Irrespective of the technique to be employed, MACE provides all the services associated with pipeline rehabilitation as follows:

Pipeline Cleaning

MACE operates specialized equipment such as Jetting Tankers and Suction Tankers for this work.

Apart from the equipment it owns for this type of work MACE operates the Abu Dhabi Municipality's equipment for the Operation and Maintenance of the entire Draining Sewerage and Irrigation Networks on the Island of Abu Dhabi under a current contract for a period of 5 years ending September 2012.
